These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Termique desktop application and associated services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading or using the Service you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Termique is a cross-platform SSH manager for desktop (macOS, Windows, Linux). It lets you manage hosts, SSH sessions, encrypted credentials, groups, and snippets, all synced automatically to a secure cloud backend. A hosted AI assistant is available through a paid subscription.
Using the Service requires creating an account. A free tier is available with usage limits as described in Section 4.
2. Accounts
To use the Service you must sign in using Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share access with others or use another person's account.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3. Subscriptions
Paid features are available on the Pro plan, billed monthly ($5/month) or annually ($40/year). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Billing is processed by Polar.sh on our behalf.
You must provide a valid payment method. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your payment method at the applicable rate. You may cancel at any time through your account dashboard; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
4. Free Plan Limits
The Free plan is subject to usage limits including a maximum of 3 hosts, 10 snippets, and 15 hosted AI prompts per day. We reserve the right to adjust these limits with reasonable notice.
5. Fee Changes
We may modify subscription pricing at any time. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. We will provide reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the paid Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new rate.
6. Refunds
Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, contact us at support@termique.app. We do not guarantee refunds for partial billing periods.
7. Credential Security
Termique encrypts all SSH credentials and private keys locally using AES-GCM with a key derived from your master password via PBKDF2. Encrypted data is stored in your OS keychain. Plaintext credentials never leave your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
You are solely responsible for the security of your master password. We cannot recover your credentials if your master password is lost.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Access systems or accounts you do not have authorisation to access
- Conduct unauthorised penetration testing or security scanning
- Distribute malware or conduct attacks through the Service
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Resell or sublicense the Service without written permission
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its source code, design, and documentation, is the exclusive property of Termique and its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services including Firebase (authentication) and Polar.sh (payments). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security vulnerabilities. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Termique shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or unauthorised access to your infrastructure.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may close your account at any time through account settings. Upon termination, your cloud data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Modifications to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice via email or prominent notice in the application. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
