termique mobile v2.0.0 is out now on iOS. It’s the biggest release for the mobile app since it shipped: server monitoring, full SFTP, SSH key generation, biometric unlock, and a redesigned terminal experience, all in one update.
Server monitoring arrives on mobile
You can now check the CPU, RAM, and disk status of any server that already has termique’s monitoring agent installed from the desktop app, right from your phone. Pairing a new server still happens on desktop, mobile is read-only for now, but once a host is monitored, you can check on it without opening a laptop.
SFTP is now full-featured, and free
SFTP shipped on mobile gated behind Pro, then the gate came off. Every plan gets full SFTP now, alongside a complete redesign of the file browser: a proper action sheet for file operations, clearer error handling, and a UI that matches the rest of the app instead of feeling bolted on.
SSH keys and snippets get more capable
The SSH Keys screen was read-only before this release. You can now generate a new SSH key or import an existing one directly from your phone. Snippets get two upgrades too: quick-execute lets you run a saved snippet straight from an active SSH terminal session, and the snippet marketplace, previously desktop-only, is now browsable from mobile. Browse public snippets, fork one into your own list, or report one that shouldn’t be there.
Sharing, subscriptions, and referrals
You can now create an outgoing host share invite from mobile, encrypted with a new per-invite AES scheme built specifically for this. Subscription management got a direct line too: a Manage subscription button deep-links straight to the billing portal, and a bug that mishandled past_due subscription status is fixed. termique also ships a referral system on mobile for the first time: deep link handling, tracking, and a dedicated referral screen.
Security and access
- Biometric unlock is now the primary unlock method once you turn it on, with a dedicated toggle under Settings > Security
- Sensitive sessions get screen protection: screenshots and screen recording are blocked while a session is active
- SSH host key verification, auth deep link validation, and Keychain storage all got hardened
- A revoked session now logs you out immediately, with a more carefully guarded sign-out path so nothing is left half torn-down
A redesigned terminal and interface
The mobile app’s design now shares the same design tokens as the desktop app, so colors, spacing, and type match across platforms. Screen titles are standardized to the same tracked-out caps style used elsewhere. The splash screen and unlock screen are both redesigned, the unlock screen specifically to match the desktop app’s look. A handful of layout bugs are fixed too: host detail buttons, an overlap with the bottom nav pill, and button sizing on the host detail and Connect/Files screens.
The terminal itself gets a dedicated custom keyboard: instead of the system keyboard, you get a toolbar built for terminal use, with visual feedback when you tap a key.
Alerts, monitoring routing, and other fixes
Alert rules for server monitoring get their own management screen, and alerts route through push notifications when they fire. iOS’s deployment target moves up to 15.0, the remaining referral banner copy is translated from Indonesian to English, and a batch of App Store submission fixes shipped alongside everything else.
termique mobile v2.0.0 is available now on iOS 15 and later. Android support is still on the roadmap, not shipped yet.
