SSH from the phone that is already in your hand.
A real SSH terminal on Android, backed by the same end-to-end encrypted host list you use on the desktop. Built for the on-call check, not for a day of development.
Android 8.0 Oreo or later
Get started in 3 steps
Install from Google Play
Tap the button above. The app is free and runs on Android 8.0 and later.
Sign in and unlock
Sign in with the same account you use on desktop, then enter your master password once to unlock the vault on this device.
Your hosts are already there
Hosts, groups and snippets sync down automatically. Credentials arrive encrypted and are decrypted only on the device.
Built for Android
The same encrypted vault, not a second one
Your master password derives the key on the phone itself. The server holds ciphertext it cannot read, and the wrapped key is stored in the Android Keystore.
A real terminal, not a command box
Sessions run through a full terminal emulator with proper escape-sequence handling, so vim, htop and tmux behave the way they do on the desktop.
Deliberately a companion app
Built for the on-call check, the quick restart, the log you need to read away from a desk. Complex work belongs on the desktop and we would rather say so.
Push notifications for what matters
Share invites and command-log activity arrive as push notifications rather than waiting until you next open a laptop.
System requirements
Android 8.0 Oreo or later
SSH on Android: common questions
Is there a free SSH client for Android?
Yes. Termique for Android is free on Google Play, and the free tier covers unlimited hosts and sessions. Pro is the same $5/mo subscription as the desktop and covers every device on your account.
Do my desktop hosts sync to Android?
Yes. Sign in with the same account and your hosts, groups and snippets appear. Credentials sync as ciphertext and are decrypted on the device with your master password.
Where are credentials stored on Android?
The wrapped key is held in the Android Keystore. Encryption is AES-GCM under a key derived from your master password on the device, the same scheme the desktop app uses.
Can I use a hardware keyboard?
Yes. A Bluetooth or USB keyboard makes the terminal considerably more usable, and the app handles modifier keys through an on-screen row when you do not have one.
Does the Android app support SFTP?
Not yet. SFTP is a desktop feature today. The mobile apps cover SSH sessions, host and snippet management, and command logs.
